Foreword From the Community Manager:

 

Skyhawks is first and foremost a community by gamers for gamers. With any community there are rules that must be adhered to in order to maintain order within the community. The community is to be a safe, friendly environment for all.

Therefore I hereby enforce the following rules and regulation upon all members of the Skyhawks Community.

The contents set out within this document are simple, direct and to point. Failure to comply with directions and regulations set out herein, will result in appropriate detailed administrative action.

You have been warned. That being said we hope that you enjoy your time with Skyhawks and meet some great new people.

Part 1) General Behaviour & Language Regulations

a. Members are to at all times be mindful of the post’s they create within the community forum. Members will be held individually responsible for the actions made using their account.

b. Members are to at all times be mindful of the verbal communications they make whilst within the game environment. This includes but is not limited to text chat within game. Verbal or Instant Message communications of a violent or discriminate nature will not be tolerated.

c. Members are not to post to topics or create topics that may discriminate. This includes however is not limited to those which discriminate by race, gender, nationality and/or sexual orientation.

d. Members are not to post to topics or create topics, in which is contained foul language.

e. Members whom post to topics or create topics that relate to the use, sale or creation of illicit and/or illegal substances will be permanently banned from the website and reported to the appropriate authorities for action. (First instance is a warning second instance will award a ban.)

f.Leet” or “Net” Speak (eg. H4x0R), is considered SPAM. Post in which contained is text of such nature will be subject to deletion or moderation.

g. Members are under no circumstances to post, create or link material of a pornographic nature within the community. If you are found to have done so then you will be permanently banned from the website. Skyhawks maintains a zero tolerance.

h. Skyhawks members above the age of eighteen are not to provide minors (persons under the age of eighteen) with material related to consumption of alcohol and tobacco. Members are also not permitted to provide content that is of a restricted (+18 only) rating or nature.


Part Two) Sales & Trading Regulations

a. Members are not permitted to sale or trade any items within the community forum or over any gaming system.

b. Members whom post to topics or create topics that contain sales or marketing will be warned no more than twice. After which Skyhawks will administratively ban you from the community for a period not exceeding two months and ten days.

c. Skyhawks Community will allow the discussion of upcoming game releases and discussion of the sale statistics with regards to any game. This includes but is not entirely limited to,

1. Pricing of yet to be released games.
2. Location of game retailers.
3. Offers from game retailers.

d. Sales & Trading is subject to a case by case basis and will be subject as such to proper moderation of content.


Part Three) Community Administration & Moderation Regulation

 

Part A) Forum Administration & Moderation Rights

i. Community administrators reserve the right to print, alter, move or close any content within the community forum for whatever reason, without your prior consent.

ii. Moderators are granted authority under this document to print, alter, move or close any messages within their delegated moderation forum. For whatever reason, without your prior consent.

iii. Skyhawks Staff members reserve the right to print, alter, move or close any messages for whatever reason without your prior consent.

iv. Skyhawks Staff members reserve the right to overrule any Administrator and/or moderator decision should he or she see fit. Within the limitations of this document.


Part B) Regulation for Proper Justification To Moderate Content

i. The community administrators and moderation team will act upon posts within the community forums on a case by case basis. Should any content be found to have violated the regulations set out in Part One or Part Two of this document, the overlooking administrator or moderator has the authority of Part Three, Para A (inclusive of all sub Para’s) within this document to take action on such content.

ii. All content within the community, posted by any member, staff member, administrator or moderator alike is subject to equal adjudication for moderation of content.

iii. All content within the Skyhawks community and website is governed by the regulations set out within this document.

iv. Skyhawks Staff, Administrators and Moderators are required to post why they have moderated your content. If they fail to do so the member is permitted to seek a formal notice as to why there content was removed. This can be done using the support ticket system.

v. Administrators or Moderators within the community will have their rights revoked if found to have abused granted authority. Abuse of authority may result in a ban from the community (however not the website) for a period of no more than one month.

vi. Administrators or Moderators have the authority to ban members under this document. Should a violation of any rules or regulations set out in Part One or Two of this document. Administrators or Moderators may ban any member, for a period not exceeding two months and ten days. Unless directed otherwise by a Skyhawks Staff Member.


Part Four) Regulations, Terms & Conditions of Registration of Members to Skyhawks

a. As a member, you agree to have any information entered to be stored in our database. While this information under no circumstances will be released to any third party without the members consent; Skyhawks Staff, Community Administrators and Moderators cannot be held responsible for any unauthorized hacking attempts that may lead to the data being compromised.

b. You agree by registering as a member of the Skyhawks Community that you will abide by all regulations set out within this document.

c. You agree by being a member that Skyhawks Staff, Community Administrators and Moderators have the authority under this document Part Three to moderate any content that you post or create within the community.


Part Five) Regulation for Hosting of Events or Competitions

Part A) Authority to host events or competitions

i. Skyhawks Staff are to; where possible provide events for members.

ii. Events or Competitions that have a prize value are only to be authorised by the Community Leader/Webmaster as privacy becomes an issue for members depending on the prize.

iii. The Community Leader/Webmaster authorises any events to be held where the prizes are virtual and have no physical object, prize or monetary value in the winnings.

iv. Should an event require that of a physical object, prize or monetary value in the winnings only the Community Leader/Webmaster may hold such events or competitions.


Part B) Events & Competitions with physical object, prize or monetary winnings

i. The Skyhawks Community Leader/Webmaster is the only authorised member of the skyhawks community and staff, with the authority to host such an event.

ii. The Skyhawks Community Leader/Webmaster agrees to maintain to the best of their ability to maintain the privacy of any member whom wins or is entitled to the winnings of any such event.

iii. The Skyhawks Community Leader/Webmaster will under no circumstances what so ever, release any information attained for the acquisition, postage or delivery of such winnings.

iv. The Skyhawks Community Leader/Webmaster will not maintain a record of any members private contact details once winnings have been dispatched to the entitled winner.

v. The Skyhawks Community Leader/Webmaster will under no circumstances contact the member by any means other than specifically for the delivery of entitled winnings.

vi. The only authorised form of contact for the Skyhawks Community Leader/Webmaster is to the email address of, [email protected]

vii. Members are advised to take caution when contacting the Skyhawks Community Leader/Webmaster or when receiving emails claiming to be of that identity.
